The Sides: Twelve Options, One Price

Twelve sides, all $2.99 except one. Most entrées come with two, which makes this the choice you make most often and think about least.
Here is what each one actually is.
The twelve
Green beans (100 cal) — the lightest side available. Applesauce (110) — the one side that genuinely refreshes against a rich steak, and the default for children who will not eat vegetables. Sautéed mushrooms (120) — the classic steak accompaniment. Sautéed onions (150) — sweeter, works well against a lean sirloin.
Buttered corn (190) — the most reliably child-friendly vegetable. Fresh vegetables (190) — a seasonal medley with more variety and, for most people, more satiety.
Mashed potatoes (260) — the most-ordered side and the safest default. Sweet potato (350) — a solid alternative to the baked potato. Seasoned rice (360) — heavier than it reads. Steak fries (360) — standard with the burgers and sandwiches. Baked potato (380) — the largest plain side.
Texas Red Chili cup ($3.99, 230 cal) — the only side not priced at $2.99, and closer to a small starter.
Loading, and the one that is different
Loading costs $1.29 and is available on the baked potato, mashed potatoes, steak fries and sweet potato. It adds cheese, bacon and sour cream.
On three of those it adds 150 calories. On the sweet potato it adds 390, taking it from 350 to 740 — the largest loaded jump on the menu and the one people order out of habit without noticing.
A premium side upgrade is 99c more, charged separately from loading.
- All $2.99 except Texas Red Chili at $3.99
- Loading — $1.29, +150 cal on most
- Loaded sweet potato — +390 cal, the exception
- Premium side upgrade — 99c
- Calorie range across the section — 100 to 740
The duplication to watch for
Seasoned rice is already the base of the Steak Kabob, the Filet Medallions and the Grilled Shrimp Dinner. Ordering it alongside one of those gives you rice on rice.
Steak fries come as standard with all six burgers and sandwiches, so they are not a choice on that page — they are already on the plate and already account for 360 of its calories.
Beef Tips are served over rice or mashed potatoes, so the same applies there.
